Elephant Song: Official movie trailer

Here is the official movie trailer of Elephant Song, directed by Charles Binamé and featuring Xavier Dolan, Bruce Greenwood and Caherine Keener.

We are proud to have scored the music of this wonderful film.

In theaters February 20, 2015.

An eminent psychiatrist has vanished from his office. The last person to see him is Michael, a troubled patient obsessed with all things elephants. Dr Greenberg, the hospital director, is determined to interrogate Michael, despite the head nurse’s cryptic warnings. Michael speaks of elephants and opera — with the occasional hint of murder and foul play – and lures the hospital director into a devious trap.

And the 2014 Alex North Award goes to…

We just got the news we received the prestigious 2014 Alex North Award for Best Music Score on a Feature Film from the Tenerife Film Music Festival, a festival dedicated exclusively to film music.

We are thrilled and honoured for this!

Alex North Award to the score for the film “Meetings with a Young Poet”, composed by Patrice Dubuc and Gaëtan Gravel. According to the decision of the jury, composed of Luis Ivars, composer and honorific director of Musimagen; the timplist Beselch Rodríguez, and the journalists specialized in cinema Miguel Ángel Rodríguez and Benjamín Santana, this production was awarded due to

“its poetic quality to deal with a complex story, drawing its emotional roots, without sentimentality or an excessive underline.”
